Design
GridMEC offers a full suite of protection & control design capabilities to deliver complex power system projects. Our experience in both office and hands-on field roles complement each other to deliver successful outcomes.
Drafting
GridMEC offers design drafting & tracing services to support complex power systems projects. From wiring schedules and detailed scheme multiplication through to as-built mark-ups, our drafters ensure that designs are communicated clearly and accurately.
IEC 61850
Among other things, IEC 61850 promises reduced construction costs and greater protection security, though this comes at the expense of increased system complexity. GridMEC offers a suite of services to advise on or directly support IEC 61850 projects.
Post Event System Analysis
System events may result in brief or prolonged plant outages with negative impacts to supply or supply reliability. GridMEC offers services to identify the root cause of system events and provide recommendations or complete solutions to restore plant to service and mitigate future occurrences.
Testing & Commissioning
GridMEC offers a full range of testing & commission services, from device & plant testing, to commissioning management & planning. Our commissioning engineers are also experienced design engineers who have an innate understanding of substations and the wider power system.
